When a page on your website doesn't load, an error message will be shown to the website visitor. Since there are different errors, there are different pages which will appear, but what's standard for all of them is that they are generic and most likely shall have nothing that resembles the design of your site, which can be annoying for any site visitor. This is the primary reason why web hosting providers have introduced a feature named Custom Error Pages. For a wide variety of different errors, visitors will see your custom content, which may be informative or humorous, depending on your taste, and which will match the design and style of your website, so the pages will not look like they are not part of your Internet site at all. You could use this option for a number of errors - 400 (Bad request), 401 (Unauthorized), 403 (Forbidden) and 404 (File not Found).

Custom Error Pages in Cloud Hosting

You can set up personalized error pages for any of your sites easily when you use any of our Linux cloud hosting. This could be done via the Hosted Domains section of the Hepsia CP, provided with all accounts and once you go there, you could set your personalized pages independently for any domain or subdomain. You must upload the files to your account ahead of time and enter the links to them through the process. This function may be de-activated whenever you want and the options you will be able to pick from are a conventional page from our system or a default Apache server page. Custom made error pages could be set with an .htaccess file as well. The file should be put into the domain or subdomain folder and it must contain some system code and links to the pages. If you are not tech-savvy, you may copy the whole content needed for the file from our Help section.
