A catch-all email mailbox receives messages sent to nonexistent email addresses under the same domain name. For instance, an email sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can receive email messages from partners or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an old one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at a certain moment you may start receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be redirected to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

You will be able to configure a catch-all email mailbox without any difficulty if you’ve got a cloud hosting account with us. The Email Manager in our custom-created Hepsia hosting Control Panel is full-featured, yet exceptionally easy to work with, and it will permit you to enable various features, including the catch-all one, with no more than several clicks of the mouse. All the email addresses that you’ve got will be shown in alphabetical order in this section and next to each one you’ll see a small-size "Catch-all" symbol. Clicking on it once will activate this option, clicking on it again will disable it. As you can have only one such mailbox per domain, our system will notify you if you’ve already got another one with this option enabled or if you’ve got activated email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

A catch-all address can be configured with several clicks if you have a Linux semi-dedicated plan with our company. The semi-dedicated account will be administered through our custom-developed Hepsia Control Panel and you’ll be able to create email addresses with any domain hosted here. To enable the catch-all functionality for a certain mailbox, you will have to click the icon with the exact same name, which will be on the right side of each mailbox. Disabling this feature can be done in the exact same fashion and will not take more than a click either. If a catch-all mailbox has already been activated for a given domain name, you will get a warning notification. The same is valid if the mailbox that you want to be a catch-all one has email forwarding enabled, as our system will never replace or deactivate anything automatically.
